This FAO issue coin bears the legend 'Fakalahi me'akai' which is Tongan for 'Grow more food'. Thus, the sow on the reverse, and the ear of corn on the obverse.

This coin was minted in 1975 and 1979 only and is part of the "counting coins" series (1 pig, 1 seniti).
