Taurus is Latin for bull, but this coin says Taurus taurus, as though it is the proper Latin name for a specific breed of cattle. It's not, from what I can tell.
There is Bos taurus, which is actually Bos primigenius taurus, where Bos is the genus, B. primigenius is the species, and B. p. taurus is the sub-species. But no Taurus taurus that I can see.
