The scene depicting a Llama with the sun shining down first appeared in 1893 and lasted right through to 1980. The Llama is an important animal in the Andean countries. It is used as a beast of burden, and supplies milk, meat, hides, and wool.
This coin was minted between 1965 and 1973 and is part of the Peso Boliviano series (1963-1986).
