The state quarter program was launched in 1999, with five different quarters being issued each year for 10 years.
A pair of oxen pulling some pioneers and all their stuff past Chimney Rock, looking for a place to do a little farming. (Presumably, they are near their destination in Nebraska, and not just passing through.)
