Venezuela 1-BOLIVAR (Y93)

Horse

The running horse has appeared on Venezuelan coins from the 1870s, always running to the right and except for a few early coins it has always been looking back over its shoulder.

Then, in 2007, the running horse finally turned around and started running in the direction it had always been looking. To the left. This marks monetary reform, with 1,000 Bolivares being replaced by one new Bolivar Fuerte.

This coin replaced the previous 1000 bolivar coin and was minted in 2007, 2009, and 2012.
