Chile 1-CENTAVO (KM203)

Andean Condor

In the mid 1970s, Chile issued another reform coinage that would last only until the end of the century. This time around, 1,000 Old Escudos were replaced with a single Peso.

We also see that the condor has come back to roost in its hulking pose.

Besides a coin issued in 1919, I believe this is the only other 1-centavo coin Chile issued and it was minted one year only.
