This circulating commemorative coin depicts Thorwald's cross, which is one of over a hundred Viking age carved runestones found on the Isle of Man. Dated sometime between 940 CE and the 11th century, it depicts a mixture of pagan and Christian beliefs.
The imagery has been interpreted as showing Odin with a raven (Huginn or Muninn) on his shoulder while the wolf Fenrir gnaws on his foot after the events of Ragnarök. Beside him is Christ who has triumphed over Satan. Satan is presumably the snake tied in a knot, but there are two of those on the coin. Also, a fish. [SOURCE]
