Cyprus 2-EURO CENT (KM79)

Cyprus Mouflon

The Mouflon is a very old animal and believed to be the granddaddy of all modern sheep. The original populations in southwest Asia are no more, but they were brought to Cyprus during the neolithic period, where they fit in very well. Now they are quite rare.

In 2008, Cyprus switched to the Euro.
