During a monetary period lasting from 1881 to 1969, Argentina issued 5-, 10-, and 20-centavo coins with an agricultural design featuring a sheaf of wheat on the left, and the head of a cow (or bull) on the right.
Up until 2005, Argentina was the third largest exporter of beef in the world, and Argentinian steaks were world-renowned. However, apparently the government wrecked the industry in a misguided attempt to make beef cheaper for the citizens.
