Comoros 100-FRANCS (KM13)

Tuna

This FAO coin was issued at a time when Comoros was trying to develop more food resources. In the late 1970s, only a small percentage of people were engaged in commercial fishing.

On the coin, we see an outrigger boat which would have to go quite far off shore to get to where the tuna were hanging out.
