Canada 25-CENTS (KM382)

In 2000, Canada issued a second "Millennium Collection" of quarters, drawing on the 33,000 designs submitted in a contest. This second set features designs that "speak to our hopes for the new millennium." Only one, the ninth coin is a series of 12, features an animal.

I am going to call that a salmon, which have long been an important natural food resource on both the west and east coasts of Canada. Plus, we pretty much wrecked it, so that would be the hope, I guess... that we can re-vitalize the wild salmon.
