The Atlantic Blue Marlin is a very big fish at 3 to 4.6 m in length and weighing up to 360 kg or more. That's big. They are also among the fastest fish in the ocean.
The Bahamian blue marlin coin was first issued in 1966. In 1971 the obverse design was changed slightly (KM21) and in 1974 the composition was changed to copper-nickel while the date was moved to the obverse with the coat of arms instead of Queen Elizabeth (KM64).
