Robin
In 2018 the Royal Mint launched the Great British Coin Hunt with the minting of the "Quintessentially British A-Z 10p" series of circulating coins. It was very successful, and was repeated in 2019.The Royal Mint put no limit on the number of coins being minted for sale in sets, and also released several million of each coin into circulation. Three of the 26 coins feature animals.
R is for Robin. According to the Royal Mint's website, the robin is officially the UK's favourite bird, and is often associated with the festive season.
