Finland 2-EURO (KM163)

Whooper Swan

The Whooper Swan is the national bird of Finland and it makes an appearance on the 2011 issue of the 2 euro coin to help commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Finland National Bank.

European Union rules allow individual country names on the faces of the coins as abbreviations only, however, the full country name appears on the rim, in both English and Finnish.

Many thanks to Maria K. for donating this coin to the zoo!
