Western Capercaillie

In 1963, Finland underwent monetary reform, with 100 old markkaa worth one new markkaa. This 10-markkaa coin was issued from 1993 to 2001, when Finland switched to the euro.

The Western Capercaillie (aka Wood Grouse, Heather Cock, or just plain Capercaillie) is the largest member of the grouse family.
