Fairy Tern
In 2009, the US Mint launched the "District of Colombia and U.S. Territories Quarters" program, with six different quarters, two of which have birds.
On the Northern Marianna Islands coin we see two Fairy Terns soaring overhead, a large limestone latte (the supporting column of ancient indigenous Chamorro structures), and a canoe of the indigenous Carolinians, whose seafaring skills took them across vast distances.
