Albania 1-LEK (KM75)

Dalmatian Pelican

Albania is home to two types of pelican: the Dalmatian pelican and the Great white pelican. Canadian birder and coin collector R. Parsons informs me that this is the Dalmatian pelican, based on the head feathers.

Originally issued in 1996, this coin was minted again starting in 2008 using copper-clad steel which would properly be KM75a, although Krause incorrectly lists it as KM75 (as of the 8th ed.),
