Thailand 10-BAHT (Y328.1)

Elephants

This well-worn coin was minted in 1996 and circulated in Thailand for twenty years before traveling to Canada in the pocket of my daughter after she visited the country. Upon her return, I asked if she had any coins with animals (because of course I did) and we found this pair of elephants.

Interestingly, I did have another coin on my Need It list with this same "two elephant motif" but not this particular one. And not a bunch of others, either. After review, the Thailand section of my Need It list grew from four to fifteen coins, and my Coin Zoo grew by one coin... to 1,200 pieces.
