Hong Kong 50 CENTS (KM74)

Ox

This coin was minted in 1997 only, and commemorates Hong Kong's retrocession to China. I believe this coin circulated, or at least was in a position to circulate (at the time, 50 cent coins were in regular circulation in Hong Kong).

The Ox is a powerful animal and signifies the coming of spring and a new beginning.
