Georgia 5-TETRI (KM78)

Georgia's first coinage as an independent state after the fall of the USSR reflects the country's 3,000 year history. This 5-thetri coin depicts a gold lion statue from the 3rd millennium BCE. It was found in a barrow (burial mound) in the Alazani Valley.

This coin was minted in 1993 only.
