Burma 5-PYAS (KM33)

Chinthe

Chinthes -- mythological half-lion half-dragon creatures -- are all over Burma (now Myanmar), especially as the undefeatable guardians of Buddhist temples.

This scalloped coin was issued from CS1314 to CS1328 (1952-1966). I believe this one is dated 1965.
