There are seven species of Marine turtles (aka Sea turtles), and most of them are headed for extinction.
This large equilaterally-curved heptagon (7-sided) coin was issued in 1984 only. "Equilaterally-curved" means if you placed a compass point on one of the seven apexes (points), it would trace out the curve of the opposite side. This makes for a 7-sided coin that can actually roll along on its edge.
All coin images in Daniel's Coin Zoo are from my personal collection. I collect, research, and personally photograph every coin displayed on this site. PLEASE do not take my images without permission. If you would like to use any coin image you see, just ask me. Thank you.
