Giant Eland
The three Giant Elands shown here appear on several different coins from the Central African region. In this case, the coin was issued by the Bank of Central African States on behalf of the Republic of the Congo.
First issued in 1975, this specimen has clearly been traveling for decades before finding its well-worn way into the Coin Zoo. This coin was re-minted in 1982, 1983, 1985, and 1990.
