Brown Bear

The Brown Bear (Ursus arctos) is a large bear species found across most of northern Eurasia and North America. Of the 16 recognized sub-species of Brown bear, this is probably the Eurasian brown bear (Ursus arctos arctos).

I originally thought these were "fantasy" coins, created by Armenia as a political move to help gain recognition for the NKR (which later became the Republic of Artsakh). However, it seems that the Artsakh dram is official legal tender within the republic, although, the people mainly use the Armenian dram.
