Iraq
The Republic of Iraq is a hot, arid country located in one of the major "hotspots" of the world. The Arabic name "Iraq" has been in use since the 6th century, and the area itself was home to the earliest known civilization -- the Sumerians -- dating back almost 8,000 years.
