Finland 1-EURO (KM104)

Whooper Swans

The Whooper Swan is the national bird of Finland. They appear on this very first euro for Finland, from a competition-winning design by Pertti Mäkinen.

Note that Finland's name does not appear on the coin. This was later changed due to new rules and the letters "FI" were included on the right-hand side of the horizon.
