Long-eared Owl
The Long-eared owl (Asio otus) is found in Europe, Asia, and North America. It is a medium-sized owl, with a typical wingspan of just under 100 cm. The Long-eared Owl is a member of the group called the 'typical owls' (Strigidae) that contains most species of owl. The other group is the 'barn owls' (Tytonidae).
