Italy 10-CENTESIMI (KM60) Honey bee
The Honey bee appeared on some of the very first coins ever issued in the late 7th century BCE. While there may well be over 300 types of ancient Greek coins alone with insects and arachnids, there are very few insect coins issued in modern times.
This beautifully realized honey bee appeared on Italy's 10-cent coin from 1919 to 1937.
