Zambia 50-NGWEE (KM208) African Elephant
The African elephant makes its first appearance on a circulating Zambian coin, and a very nice portrait it is.
On January 1, 2013, Zambia introduced a new series of coins consisting of 5, 10, and 50 ngwee pieces, plus a one kwacha coin. The older coins are still legal tender, but because their metal value is higher than their face value they have all but disappeared from circulation.
